Ukraine drones take out all three Yandex supercomputers
Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian data centers may have destroyed all three of Yandex's supercomputers.
The attacks on Russian data centers have caused significant damage to the country’s IT infrastructure, and experts believe the supercomputers cannot be restored.
The first attack occurred overnight on October 8, targeting Yandex’s data center in Sassovo, Rjazan Oblast, which has been operational since 2014.
The data center housed the supercomputers Tchervonenkis and Ljapunov, with a processing power of 29.42 and 20.03 petaflops, respectively.
