UFSM Offers Three-Year Cybersecurity Graduation Program

The program is offered by the Colégio Técnico Industrial de Santa Maria (CTISM) and has 40 available vacancies. The course combines theoretical foundations of computer networks with practical activities focused on system security. At least 50% of the specific discipline’s workload will be dedicated to practice, with some disciplines exceeding this proportion.

The formation will also include activities of extension with companies, aiming to establish partnerships for students to perform security analyses in real networks and systems, with formal authorization and agreements that guarantee the protection of both participating organizations and the University.

A specific laboratory is being organized for practical activities, with computers, servers, and workstations organized in islands, allowing students to perform attack and defense exercises in separate environments.
