Thailand Seeks to Attract Foreign Investment to Boost Economy
Thailand's finance minister aims to attract foreign investment in key industries to boost the country's economy.
Thailand’s finance minister, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, is pushing policies to attract foreign investment in industries such as semiconductors, data centers, and high-tech manufacturing to boost the country’s economy.
The minister said that Thailand needs to attract foreign investment to drive economic growth, which has been slow for several years.
Thailand’s economy has been growing at an average rate of 2.34% per year over the past five years, lower than many of its neighbors that have recovered quickly from the COVID-19 pandemic.
