Thai authorities uncover 350-meter internet cable crossing border to Myanmar

Authorities in Thailand discovered a 48-core fibre optic cable stretching 350 meters across the border from Thailand to Myanmar.

The cable was supplying an illegal casino and suspected scam centre, which uses enough daily bandwidth to power an entire village.

Many scam centre leaders have relocated after crackdowns in Myanmar or Cambodia, but this operation remains active.
