Site of Feira de Santana Chamber is taken offline after cybersecurity alerts

The Câmara Municipal de Feira de Santana suspended its official site after receiving national cybersecurity alerts. The measure was preventive and followed the recommendation to temporarily remove systems developed in PHP from the air. The outage was global and also affected government sites in the US and Europe.

The Chamber’s team is following the situation and working on adopting the necessary updates and security measures to restore access safely for users. There is no official information from the Chamber on the return date.

PHP is responsible for about 70% of websites worldwide, according to W3Techs, a company that monitors web technologies. A single PHP failure can open the same door on millions of servers simultaneously, allowing an attacker to control the site and potentially steal data, alter pages, or compromise the system.
