Single Hacker Uses AI to Breach Over 100 Sites
A recent investigation revealed a campaign of AI-powered attacks that compromised over 1,200 sites worldwide.
A single operator, identified as AIA0001, used AI to coordinate over 1,100 attack projects, targeting sites in the US, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
The attacks were automated, with a success rate of around 10%, and the estimated cost of using AI models was around $5,000.
The investigation found that the operator’s instructions were surprisingly brief, with less than 100 Chinese characters, and the attacks were successful in under 23 hours.
