Romania to become AI hub with 56 NVIDIA accelerators installed in Reghin
A 8 million euro investment in hardware infrastructure will make Reghin a regional AI calculation center.
The project, developed by Expert IT over 12 years, aims to develop rapid diagnostic algorithms in healthcare, with a plan to expand to markets like Poland, Moldova, and Switzerland.
The first phase of the project, worth over 8 million euros, involves a high-performance hardware infrastructure: 56 NVIDIA B300 accelerators installed in seven servers.
The investment includes equipment, power sources, cooling systems, and undisclosed financial support, according to Expert IT’s CEO, Mihai Farcaș Dan.
