OpenAI CEO says some AI risks are worth taking for benefits

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has said that some risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) are worth taking in order to reap its benefits. This stance differs from that of competitor Anthropic.

Altman made the comments in an interview with US politics publication Politico, where he stated that ‘we have to weigh the benefits of AI technology against the right of humans to make their own decisions.’
