Microsoft Withdraws from Data Center Investment in UK
Microsoft pulls out of a data center project in the UK, citing issues with the local power grid.
Microsoft had planned to lease computing capacity in a data center in Luton, northeast of London, from Nscale, a UK-based startup backed by Nvidia.
The project was announced last year as part of a series of investments by US tech giants during President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK.
Nscale is preparing for a primary public offering on the New York stock exchange, which could value the company at $35 billion.
