Microsoft Offers Buyouts to 60,000 Employees
Microsoft offers voluntary buyouts to 60,000 employees as it adjusts its workforce and invests in artificial intelligence.
The programme will not cover everyone, with employees in certain areas, including data centres, sales and marketing, excluded from the offer.
Microsoft’s Chief People Officer, Amy Coleman, informed employees about the initiative, describing it as a way to give workers more flexibility in deciding their future with the company.
The company is giving eligible employees more control over their departure while retaining the ability to reshape its organisation around changing priorities.
