Malaysia bars civil servants from using Waze
Malaysia bans civil servants from using Waze due to Israeli government control of the app.
The ban is the latest move by Malaysia to curb businesses linked to Israel, following its accusations of genocide committed in Gaza.
The decision was made after a National Cyber Security Committee (NCSC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday.
The chief secretary to the government issued a circular dated October 20, instructing ministry secretaries-general and heads of department to communicate the decision to all officers under their supervision.
