Malaysia Airlines warns customers of data exposure in Amadeus cybersecurity breach

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 — Malaysia Airlines has warned customers that some of their personal information may have been exposed in a cybersecurity breach. The airline said the breach occurred in the Amadeus system, which it uses for its ticketing and booking operations. Amadeus had previously announced a cybersecurity breach that affected some of its customers, but Malaysia Airlines said it was only now informing its customers as it had not been aware of the breach until recently.
