Kira AI Founder Built WhatsApp-Based Banking Platform After Failing to Optimize Food Delivery Service
Emmanuel Obiechina's experience with Y-Queue, a food delivery service, led him to create Kira AI, a banking and payments platform.
Obiechina had entered the venture with years of programming experience and a track record of shipping software for international engineering teams. Yet Y-Queue confronted him with a brand of operational chaos that no algorithm could optimise away.
This experience changed how Obiechina thought about technology and the businesses built around it. It also shaped Kira, the payments startup, which grew out of a problem he encountered while managing transfers to Y-Queue’s restaurants and dispatch riders.
