Journalist Summoned by Cybersecurity Unit Over YouTube Video
Mamadou Cissé, alias Momo Cissé, is expected to appear before the Division spéciale de cybersécurité on Thursday.
The summons is related to a video published by YouTube channel Sen Téranga, in which Cissé is suspected of making serious accusations against the Police nationale.
He allegedly claimed that influencer Nourah Ba was prevented from using the restroom during her detention in a Dakar police station, and also accused a police officer in civilian clothes of insulting Ba on the Corniche before her arrest.
Cissé will need to provide evidence to support his accusations in order to be released after his hearing in the unit of the Direction de la police judiciaire (DPJ).
