The Japanese government will hold an emergency meeting on cybersecurity to discuss measures to prevent further cyberattacks and mitigate their consequences.

The meeting, scheduled for 6 pm on 26th, will be attended by high-ranking officials, including the Prime Minister, to discuss the recent surge in cyberattacks targeting Japanese businesses and the subsequent large-scale data breaches.

According to the Chief Cabinet Secretary, the attacks have caused significant disruptions to the country’s businesses and have also led to secondary damage, such as the misuse of stolen information.
