Henry Cejudo Proposes AI-Enabled Gloves for MMA Referees

Cejudo’s idea involves equipping referees with gloves that can track punches and other movements during a fight, using infrared light to provide a more accurate assessment of the match.

He believes that AI can help reduce the influence of human emotions and biases in refereeing decisions, which can sometimes lead to disputed outcomes.

The concept is not entirely new, as a recent boxing match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury featured an AI-powered referee, although its role was largely experimental and did not affect the official outcome.
