Google Unveils Gemini 4 Carbon With Advanced Cybersecurity Skills

Google Gemini 4 Carbon access begins with selected cyber defenders.

Google’s newest Gemini model, Gemini 4 Carbon, introduces advanced cybersecurity capabilities, including vulnerability identification, exploit validation, and patch generation. The company is initially offering access to selected cybersecurity defenders through its Fairwind Program. Eligibility depends on Google’s partner requirements, with no general-access timeline announced.

The Fairwind Program prioritizes governments, national cybersecurity authorities, critical infrastructure operators, and major technology platforms. Priority sectors include healthcare, telecommunications, energy, and financial services. Organizations can request program access through their Google Cloud account teams, subject to checks of their security history and ethical operations.

Google has announced introductory API pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, which will later double. Eligible organizations can seek Fairwind consideration, while other IT teams can evaluate Argon or existing security tools.
