Google Expands Access to Gemini 4 Argon AI Model for Developers and Premium Users

Google's Gemini 4 Argon AI model is now accessible to developers and premium users, with a steep price increase looming for developers at the end of the year.

Google is deploying the model across two distinct tracks: one for software developers and another for everyday premium users. For developers, Argon is now widely accessible via the official Gemini API, as well as through Antigravity, Google’s dedicated platform for building and deploying agentic software applications.

The model’s core competencies include advanced financial modeling, complex software engineering and coding, sophisticated creative writing, and high-level cybersecurity defense analysis.

According to the AI benchmarking firm Artificial Analysis, Gemini 4 Argon’s performance on the composite “Intelligence Index” goes toe-to-toe with OpenAI’s flagship GPT-6 Astra, at just 60 percent of the cost per task compared to its OpenAI rival.
