Global Banks Flood into Asia's GPU Financing Market
Major banks are evaluating loan schemes tied to GPU purchases for Asian data centers.
According to KPMG estimates, Asia’s capital expenditure on data centers could reach $820 billion by 2050, with most funds going into hardware such as GPUs and servers. Several major international banks, including Citi, JPMorgan, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Santander, and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, are currently assessing loan schemes tied to GPU purchases for Asian data centers.
The move reflects growing demand for high-performance computing in the region, driven by the increasing need for data processing and storage in industries such as finance, healthcare, and e-commerce.
