Four Ways to Implement Artificial Intelligence: One Doesn't Need Internet
Organizations can choose from four instances to run AI: cloud, on-premises data centers, cloud edge, or AI PCs.
According to HP’s general manager for Latin America, Mateo Figueroa, organizations should choose the right place to process their models to maximize efficiency, control costs, and ensure data security.
The four instances are: cloud, ideal for large models and high-compute tasks; on-premises data centers, for controlled compute capacity and confidential data; cloud edge, for local processing with lower costs and latency; and AI PCs, for running models offline or locally.
The AI PC option aligns with the trend towards more autonomous systems and allows for local model execution with confidentiality, both online and offline.
