Donald Trump wants to rename artificial intelligence to 'super intelligence'

US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed his desire to rename artificial intelligence to 'super intelligence' and warned that those who refuse to use the new term will be considered enemies of the White House.

The move is part of a broader policy of censorship, with over 480 words already banned by the Trump administration.

Trump has been pushing for the name change since September, when he announced it at the UN General Assembly, saying that the new name ‘sounds much better’ and that the word ‘artificial’ implies ‘false intelligence’.

A decree has been issued to impose the new vocabulary in government communications, with the acronym ‘AI’ being replaced by ‘SI’.
