Discovery Ranks Cybercrime as Top Risk, Citing Frontier AI

The financial services group ranks cybercrime and cybersecurity as its top risk, up from third a year earlier, due to the increased use of AI models.

These models are accelerating attacks, allowing cybercriminals to automate attacks, craft adaptive malware, and exploit software vulnerabilities.

Discovery has strengthened its cybersecurity controls but warns that the threat environment becomes less predictable as AI adoption accelerates.
