Denmark misses podium and gets seventh place at EM

Denmark secured seventh place at the European Cybersecurity Championship 2026.

The competition was won by Sweden, with Finland and Austria taking second and third place respectively. The Danish team had high ambitions, having secured second place at last year’s EM. The team’s coach, Jens Myrup Pedersen, a professor of cybersecurity at Aarhus University, emphasized that the team’s performance was impressive, given the strong competition. He attributed the team’s performance to their hard work and dedication.

The European Cybersecurity Championship is a competition for young hackers between the ages of 14 and 25. This year, over 400 young hackers from 42 countries participated, including 7 non-European countries. The competition aims to promote cybersecurity and develop the skills of young hackers.

The championship is not only a competition, but also an opportunity to showcase the importance of cybersecurity. The coach emphasized that the event helps to raise awareness about the need for cybersecurity skills in Denmark and Europe.
