Denmark Competes in European Cybersecurity Championship
The Danish national cybersecurity team is competing in the European Championship in Bochum, Germany.
The team of 10 selected players is working together to solve the most challenging tasks, which will give them the most points and the highest chance of winning the gold medal. Landstræner Jens Myrup Pedersen emphasized that the pursuit of gold involves a significant risk, as the most difficult tasks take longer to solve than the easier ones. He also noted that other countries have become more skilled in cybersecurity.
The European Championship is an opportunity to promote cooperation between European and Nordic countries, and to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. The competition is also a chance for young IT talents to meet and learn from each other, and to build a network that can help them find jobs in the field after they finish their education.
