Deezer introduces toggle to filter out AI-generated music
Deezer will add an on/off toggle to allow users to banish AI-generated tracks from their feeds by the end of the year.
The decision is a direct response to growing consumer frustration, with nearly half of all music streaming users wanting artificial content scrubbed entirely from their listening experience, according to an internal study by Deezer.
The company notes that roughly 90,000 fully generated tracks are dumped onto the platform every single day, culminating in a massive stockpile of over 42 million artificial songs.
Deezer maintains that the risk of flagging human-made music as a false positive remains ‘very low’ with its proprietary AI-detection tool.
