Data center spending to more than double to $2.1 trillion by 2028

Global data center spending is expected to hit $1 trillion in 2026 and more than double to $2.1 trillion by 2028, driven by growth in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

BofA Global Research estimated this in a note on Friday, citing the increasing demand for data storage and processing.
