Cybersecurity Begins with the Smallest Details

Organizations are exposed to cyber threats due to basic security measures being neglected.

The continuous rise of cyber threats forces organizations to reevaluate their understanding of digital security. The issue is not just about the sophistication of attack tools or the complexity of intrusion techniques, but rather a deeper gap between what organizations claim to do for cybersecurity and what they actually do to protect their systems and data.

The problem is more related to governance and administrative discipline than a lack of technical solutions. The basic rules of protection are well-known, and tools for auditing and monitoring are available, but these rules often do not translate into daily mandatory procedures, and responsibility is often distributed among multiple entities without clear accountability for the outcomes of their actions.

A fundamental paradox is that an organization may have a cybersecurity strategy, advanced equipment, and a dedicated budget for protection, yet remain vulnerable to attacks due to a simple vulnerability that could have been avoided by a simple procedure.
