Curaçao's SER Advises Preparing Workers for AI Changes

The Sociaal-Economische Raad (SER) of Curaçao advises the government and the Staten on economic and social matters. Raul Henriquez, SER director, spoke at a conference in Zimbabwe about the consequences of AI on jobs. He emphasized the need for accessible education and consultation with workers before introducing new technologies.

According to Henriquez, workers should also know who is responsible when a computer system makes decisions affecting their work.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) reports that one in four workers worldwide is in a profession where AI can change tasks.
