CoreWeave's Financial Situation Improving, Says Nvidia Backer Huang Renxun

Huang Renxun, a key investor in CoreWeave, says the company's financial situation is improving, causing its stock to surge.

CoreWeave, a US AI cloud computing company, has seen its stock price surge after Huang Renxun, a key investor, expressed confidence in the company’s financial situation. The company’s implied default rate has reached 60%, leading to a negative attitude from the credit market. However, Huang’s statement caused the stock price to reverse from a 10% drop to a 6% gain, closing at $69.69 and trading $8.337 billion.

Huang stated that it is not necessary for Nvidia to provide a bailout for CoreWeave, as the company’s financial situation is improving. He emphasized that CoreWeave’s capital costs are actually decreasing, making him optimistic about the company’s prospects.

CoreWeave is seen as a test case for the business models of new emerging companies, which have arisen to meet the seemingly endless demand for AI computing power from companies like Nvidia. Nvidia is CoreWeave’s second-largest shareholder, holding around 10% of the company’s shares.
