Colt DCS and RMZ Start Construction of 64MW AI-Ready Mumbai Data Center
Colt DCS and RMZ begin construction of a 64MW data center in Mumbai, designed to support AI workloads.
The data center, part of a joint venture between Colt DCS and RMZ, will have a total capacity of 250MW across Mumbai and Bengaluru. The site will be equipped with a hybrid cooling system, combining traditional air cooling with direct-to-chip liquid cooling. The data center will have a 64MW power capacity, with a substation GIS of 220kV within the campus.
Colt DCS and RMZ have already signed their first hyperscale customer for the data center, with all 64MW of capacity pre-leased. The construction of the data center began in December 2025, with the joint venture aiming to develop a total of 250MW of data center capacity in India.
The data center is designed to support high-density AI workloads, with a focus on providing a robust and scalable infrastructure for customers. Pratap Mane, India head of Colt DCS, said that the data center’s design prioritizes AI readiness, with a focus on high-density cooling and power infrastructure.
