Chinese archaeologists set for hi-tech excavations with AI and deep-sea robots

Scientists will develop technologies such as remote sensing, ancient DNA analysis, and underwater archaeology robots.

They will also expand international partnerships to conduct fieldwork across Asia and launch joint research in various regions.

The 15th five-year work plan for archaeology aims to deploy AI and deep-sea robots to unearth centuries of lost history.
