China's Iluvatar CoreX's first AI computing supernode squeezes most GPUs in 1 system
Chinese AI chipmaker Iluvatar CoreX debuted its first supernode system, packing 144 GPUs and 18 CPUs into a single cabinet.
The new system, dubbed the Tiangai 300 IXL144, was unveiled at the 2026 China International Industry Fair in Shanghai. It is designed for large-scale AI model training and inference. The system boasts around 10.1 terabytes of memory.
Supernodes integrate computation, storage, networking, management, and software frameworks into a single supercomputer. This architecture is seen as a resource to scale computing power amid US export controls and surging AI demand.
Iluvatar claims that the system’s flexible architecture and improved efficiency can lower the cost per 1 million valid tokens by 40% compared to mainstream international alternatives.
