Amazon Negotiates Acquisition of AI Startup Decart for $7 Billion
Amazon is in talks to acquire Decart, a startup specializing in artificial intelligence, for around $7 billion.
The talks come after Anthropic decided not to pursue an acquisition of Decart in August for a potential $6 billion, according to Bloomberg News.
Decart has developed models such as Lucy, which can modify live videos in real-time, and Oasis, which generates simulated environments for training and testing autonomous systems.
The startup was valued at around $4 billion in May, according to PitchBook data cited by the Wall Street Journal.
