Alibaba to Embed AI in Merchant Operations by 2027
Alibaba plans to expand AI use across merchants' operations on Taobao and Tmall next year.
The expansion of AI use will include Qwen Work-powered tools for merchants and AI-driven product discovery for consumers.
The move comes after the roll-out of AI on Taobao and Tmall over the past year exceeded expectations, with merchants already using platform-level AI tools.
Alibaba’s enterprise AI assistant, Qwen Work, will be a key product driving the push, with testing beginning this week for the e-commerce version.
