AI, New Weapon for Enterprises Against Automated Attacks

Enterprises must adapt their cyberdefense to the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.

The publication of PHP language vulnerabilities last week forces companies to rethink their cybersecurity. For defense against AI-optimized attacks, the solution could be… AI itself. The AI is redefining the stakes of cybersecurity. On October 21, the world was put on alert: thanks to AI, researchers discovered two vulnerabilities in the PHP language, a widely used program in over 70% of international websites, mainly used to create applications and dynamic web pages.

This new technology is capable of revealing critical vulnerabilities that have remained invisible for years. “Last-generation models have detected them in code that was considered reliable, and they were there for several years, even decades,” explains Vincent Lavergne, cybersecurity and AI expert at F5, an American company specializing in network security.

The rapid development of AI is forcing companies to adapt their cybersecurity measures to the new challenges posed by this technology.
