A satirical project by Basura and Big Data records the sounds of a real data center in Virginia.
The plush toys, designed to look like a data center, were handmade with a server-shaped belly and a soothing smile.
When squeezed, they emit a monotonous humming noise, recorded from a real data center in Virginia, the state with the highest concentration of such facilities.
The project, ‘Adopt a Data Center’, aims to raise awareness about the impact of data centers on the environment and daily life.
