1300-Student School Concerned About Noise, Heat, and Sunlight from Nearby Data Center
A data center is being built next to a school in Kitakyushu, Japan, raising concerns about noise, heat, and sunlight.
The construction of a data center in Kitakyushu’s Wakamatsu ward has been progressing, but it has raised concerns among local residents about its potential impact on the environment and the nearby school.
The data center is being built on a 130,000-square-meter site, which is currently being prepared for construction.
The city has set up a consultation window in September to address concerns from residents, including those about noise, heat, and sunlight from the data center.
