Eesti Energia CEO: Data centers are beneficial to the energy system

Eesti Energia CEO Andrus Durejko stated that data centers help balance the energy system. He estimated that the adoption of nuclear energy in Estonia will not occur before 2040.

Durejko noted that the energy consumption of the planned Google and Microsoft data centers in Finland is almost the same as Estonia’s total peak power consumption. He emphasized that data centers can provide economic benefits and contribute to the community’s well-being.
